This condo is great, everything pttetty much has been remodeled. Furniture was very nice and appliances were excellent. Really liked the stand alone life maker. Porch and balcony had beautiful views and plenty of space. Will definitly rent this one again.

We got lucky to find a good deal on this place. It was beautiful, centrally located, and priced nicely. Directly on the beach, would recommend!

The condo was exactly how it was described. Perfect size for our family. It was walkable to lots of restaurants and shops.

This home was in a great location. Far enough out that you had space on the beach but close enough to be convenient to shopping and activities. Our family loved the large kitchen, dining and family areas including the porch. Everyone was able to find fun to be had and relax! We were also able to have groceries and other items delivered by Walmart which was super convenient. Highly recommended.

The bedrooms were very spacious with amazing views, and comfortable beds! The condo does need an ironing board/iron, but, I understand that is more of a personal need. I would stay at this condo again!

Place is right on the beach, lots of updates as it gets better every year we stay! We’ll be back next year

Check-in: We came in a different way than what reservation directions had. We were actually on main road where condos are on beach side and lots of shops on other side. We called the office and the young man would only say, "we're on the main road, near Ace hardware and the jewelry store." At this time, and going up and down the unmarked main road we were on, we called back another time, only to be told the same thing. We were getting very frustrated. We finally realized (on our own) that we were not on the "main road" the person was talking about. I even repeatedly told him landmarks that we were seeing but he didn't once suggest we were not on the correct road. Next, the cleaning lady opened our door one day saying she had an order to clean and that we had checked out. We said we were not checking out for a few days. So that was confusing & she looked very irritated.
We figured out after a few days there, that we didn't have the correct remote to access and streaming apps. After calling, someone bought us one. The BIGGEST issue we had was people around us were smoking pretty much the entire time. When we go on vacation, we like the ocean view & to be able to open our balcony door for fresh air and listen to the surf. We could very rarely do this. It was very nasty and was not good for my allergies. That put a very big damper on our trip. Elevator wasn't working for last days we were there. We did find another elevator in building near us so we used that. Pro: we did enjoy walking and biking at the nature reserve that was close by.
But, we will not be back to this building.

Hi Melissa, thanks for your review and sorry about any check-in confusion. We appreciated you letting us know about the remote and had another brought out to you rapidly. We were unaware of the housekeeper intrusion and looking into that now. We hate to hear that your neighbors were smoking preventing you from enjoying the beach front balcony we totally understand the inconvenience that can create. We hope to see you back, perhaps at another unit, to turn your 2-star into a 5-star stay.

We had a very nice stay here. Everything was clean and great location to everything. Beach is so close to unit as well as pool. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at Southern Sands three times now and have always loved this place! The view is beautiful, the pool is so lovely and very refreshing, and the reservations staff are very courteous. Each time we have stayed, we have been in a different room. In the past, the rooms have always been very clean and accommodating. This time, the room we had was not quite up to par. It was not very clean upon arrival. There were spills on the cabinets and dirt in the corners. There were clean sheets supplied for the pull out bed, but no extra pillows or blankets for it. We found some comforters in the closet, but they were soiled and wet, and piled up in a heap on the floor of the closet. The pillows for the other beds were flat and hard. The hot and cold faucet in both showers were backwards - the hot was cold, and the cold was hot... opposite of what they should be. The furniture was quite soiled and in need of a thorough cleaning. We love this place and will probably return because we've come to feel like it is a second summer "home", but hopefully it will be back up to their usual standards next time.
