Is the home or condo I see on the Internet the one I get?
Yes, we rent the specific property you see in full detail on our website. We believe that this is the only way you will be happy with your accommodation.
How long has Gulfsands Rentals been in business?
Gulfsands Rentals is in its 27th year of business. We started out renting exclusively properties that we owned, and now we are an LLC and a fully licensed & insured real estate brokerage renting our units, and those of our investor/owner clients.
Do you allow pets?
Gulfsands does not currently have any pet friendly properties.
Do you allow smoking?
All of our condos & homes are non-smoking units. Smoking is permitted outside of certain properties only (please inquire on the property).
How close are the homes and condos to the Beach?
The closest! Every home or condo that we manage is waterfront, gulf side or gulf front. Please review the definition of our terms below:
Gulf Front– directly on the beach, full view of beach and Gulf of Mexico.
Excellent Gulf View– directly on the beach, but the pool may be between the unit and the beach. Excellent view from the unit.
Gulf View– same side of the street as the beach [no street to cross] and you can see a view of the gulf from inside the unit or balcony…the view may be partial or limited….but you are only steps from the beach!
Gulf Side– you are on the same side of the street as the beach [no street to cross], but you don’t have a direct view of the gulf from inside the condo. You are just steps from the beach!
Gulf Oriented you will be across the street, but facing the gulf.
Water Front– a water front unit is located on the lagoon, Intercoastal Waterway, bay or canal. These are usually great units for bringing your watercraft or boat. They may or may not have a view of the water though. Please see the photos for views.
Where do I park my extra vehicle?
Please pay special attention to the # of vehicles allowed at your condo. Many are one (1) vehicle MAX. Most are two (2) vehicle MAX. There is no overnight extra parking available in town. There are no parking garages. Most condos have no visitor parking (some do, but it’s typically very few spots, and first come basis only). We are asked daily about what to do with the extra vehicle, and we feel terrible, but have no answer for you. We cannot issue more parking passes than allowed by the associations, or we can lose our privileges there. Please bring only the amount of vehicles permitted at your accommodation.
Is there shopping near by?
Yes, there is a grocery store or a convenience store within 1.5 miles of most of our properties.
Is there air conditioning, heat and Internet?
Yes, all of our homes and condos have central air and heat, and Internet available too.
Is there a fully equipped kitchen in the property?
Yes, every home and condo has a full kitchen including cooking and eating utensils, refrigerator, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher.
Are linens and towels provided?
Yes, there are linens and towels provided in each unit. Beach towels are not provided, so you need to bring these with you.
Are the properties cleaned daily?
No, the property is cleaned before your arrival and after your departure. You can request mid-stay cleans at an additional charge.
Are there cleaning supplies?
We do not supply any chemicals in the home – but sometimes owners do. There is a washing machine, dryer, mop, broom, dustpan, dishwasher, iron and ironing board in the property or in the complex. There are starter paper products in the home [toilet paper]. You will be responsible for your other needs there after.
Do you offer travel insurance?
Not at this time, but possibly in the future if the need arises. Gulfsands currently has Hurricane related ‘insurance’ FREE for all guests currently, which is the major concern for vacationing guests. In the event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION, any unused nights are refunded.
Do you accept major credit cards?
Yes, we accept most major credit/debit cards, such as Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We do not accept prepaid/preloaded cards or AMEX.
What will we be responsible for when we check out?
Full check-out instructions will be emailed to you and a short list of items that need to be done will be included. Everything you need to do will also be noted on the refrigerator magnet in each unit.
