We started Gulfsands 23 years ago because we were dissatisfied with the rental company we used here in Gulf Shores, looking to offer an alternative to property owners, utilizing true relationship management. Our maintenance staff performs most repairs in-house (other than HVAC items), working to keep your cost down. Many other ‘discount’ agents use 3rd party vendors and handymen for work, and pass thru the bill to you. They may not mark them up, but these costs will be high because they have no control of the cost. Our costs are low, as we don’t use maintenance as a profit center…we do it the old fashioned way. COMPARE / SHOP AROUND AND ASK QUESTIONS
Compare closely, what are the annual maintenance fees, what other ‘advertising fees’ are there, do they have credit card fees, do they know the market? Add them all up, as many have that low commission that really isn’t low after you add in all the extras.
